We all know of the unfortunate incidents which have taken place on college campuses across the USA within the past few years. These incidents would include college students being shot, stabbed, robbed and even all the other little situations which do not make the news. A college campus is said to be a fearful place to be living now-a-days, even with the increased campus and police protection. A question is how far are campus's willing to go in order to ensure their students are protected to the fullest extent? That question lies in the hands of students who are proposing permits for concealed weapons on campus. I for one feel concealed weapons on campus would be a horrible idea as you could have students as young as 18 being strapped with a 9mm in the middle of world religion class. It was cause more distraction and even could possibly let a killer posing as an innocent civilian carry a gun onto campus and it be okay as long as he has his/her permit to go with it. I feel things happen in this world for a reason and if you're going to live your life in fear then just don't leave your house, it's as simple as that

It's kind of like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Murderers lacking conscience take advantage of unarmed students on campus and shoot the place up. While I don't feel that people should pack a little heat on campus, I do believe that restricting firearms on campus in general has made it easier for idiots to commit crimes. If those who wanted guns had them and were only given the guns to act responsibly I believe that in extreme circumstances, such as the tragedy at Virginia Tech, that many people could have been saved. Again, it is a sticky situation, but it is proven that crime rates drop when there is an increase in concealed weapons permits issued within any area of the country.
